Spaces Still Open for ESSA Implementation Listening Sessions, Online Registration Available

As we have detailed here previously several listening sessions will be held by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) on implementation of the new federal education law, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), in Wisconsin.

Online registration is now available to participate in the sessions listed below.  All sessions are open to the public and those who do not wish to register are welcome to attend as observers.  If you are unable to attend the sessions but wish to provide input, there is an online feedback form available.

Under ESSA, each state must develop a state accountability plan for public education.  The listening sessions are the first step in developing Wisconsin’s plan.  It is important that school board members are among the stakeholders whose voices will be heard.
